Generation
A randomly-generated short sword created on the ground, in any shop or as a death drop has a 1⁄20 chance of being made into Luckblade. Neutral characters may receive Luckblade as a sacrifice gift.
Description
Luckblade has +5 to-hit and deals +5 damage versus all monsters. While carried, it functions as a luck item.
Strategy
Luckblade's flat damage bonus against all monsters makes it a powerful weapon early on, and combined with its luck enhancement, this makes it one of the best first sacrifice gifts for a neutral character. It also remains a respectable choice later in the game for twoweaponing in the off-hand, which SLASH'EM and SlashTHEM allows for artifacts.
History
Luckblade first appears in NetHack Plus, and also appears in SLASH 6. In these versions, Luckblade serves as a guaranteed first sacrifice gift for the Gnome role.
