A pair of goggles, or simply goggles, is a type of tool that appears in EvilHack and Hack'EM. It is made of plastic.
Generation
Ice Mages in Hack'EM have a roughly 1⁄2 chance of starting with an uncursed pair of goggles.
Pairs of goggles are quite rare and make up 1⁄1000 (0.1%) of all tools that are randomly generated on the ground, in general shops or as death drops. Hardware stores can also stock pairs of goggles.
The chest on the larger island of Gollum's Cave in Goblin Town has a 13⁄20 chance of containing an uncursed pair of goggles.
In Hack'EM, upgrading a pair of lenses will produce a pair of goggles.
Description
A hero can use a pair of goggles by applying them, and can also put on or remove goggles manually using those commands. Goggles are worn on the face, and cannot be worn at the same time as a blindfold, a towel or a pair of lenses. Monsters will not use this item.
While worn, a pair of goggles allows the wearer to see underwater the same as they can on land.
In Hack'EM, upgrading a pair of goggles will produce a pair of lenses.
Strategy
Goggles are primarily useful for characters that are frequent swimmers, such as tortles.
