Tiamat, D, is a monster that appears in NetHack--. Tiamat is a unique dragon that has somewhat different traits between NetHack-- 3.0.10 and NetHack-- 3.1.3, which is partly due to changes in vanilla NetHack between versions, such as changes in the structure of monster data within monst.c and the retooling of the weight system.
Tiamat is not to be confused with the Chromatic Dragon, the Caveman quest nemesis who is referred to as Tiamat in the data of the Caveman quest: NetHack-- 3.1.3 does not change any of the lines within the quest data that address the Chromatic Dragon as Tiamat, despite carrying over Tiamat from NetHack-- 3.0.10 and using the Chromatic Dragon from vanilla NetHack as a distinct monster.

In NetHack-- 3.0.10, Tiamat is a chaotic dragon that is strong, thick-skinned, capable of flight, and can see invisible. Tiamat can follow the hero to other levels while adjacent to them, and will seek out gold, gems and magical items to pick up.
Tiamat has a powerful bite attack preceded by four different breath weapons: fire breath, poison breath that drains strength, lightning breath, and frost breath. Tiamat possesses fire resistance.
Generation
Tiamat is always generated hostile, and is not a valid form for polymorph or genocide.
Tiamat does not leave a corpse upon death.
NetHack-- 3.1.3
In NetHack-- 3.0.10, Tiamat is a lawful dragon that is strong, thick-skinned, capable of flight, and can see invisible. Tiamat can follow the hero to other levels while adjacent to them, and will seek out gold, gems and magical items to pick up.
