A wombat, z, is a type of zouthern animal that appears in SLASH'EM, SlashTHEM, SpliceHack, and Hack'EM. It is a herbivorous domestic zouthern animal that possesses a kick and a bite attack.
Strategy
The wombat is a rather unremarkable monster among the zouthern animals, doing middling damage and being the same speed as an unhasted player. One-for-one, it is roughly comparable to a wolf, but since wombats do not generate in groups, encounters with them tend to be easier. Their AC of 5 is the best among the zouthern animals, but still very mediocre, and they have no resistances to speak of.
Origin
Wombats are short-legged, muscular quadrupedal marsupials that are native to Australia. A wombat is about 1 meter (40 in) in length with a small, stubby tail, and weighs between 20 and 35 kg (44 and 77 lb). Wombats are adaptable and habitat tolerant, and are found in forested, mountainous, and heathland areas of southern and eastern Australia - this includes Tasmania and an isolated patch of more than 700 acres in Epping Forest National Park within central Queensland.
