The erinys, &, is a major demon in NetHack. Only three can ever be generated, and therefore become extinct readily (as all three of them will often appear at once).

One, if not already extinct, is guaranteed in Moloch's Sanctum. Otherwise being lawful, they can be summoned only by the melee attacks of barbed devils and horned devils (see demon gating). The only other lawful demons are the demon princes Geryon, Dispater, Baalzebub and Asmodeus. However none of them can be randomly generated.
Among the other monsters, only Titans (being lawful, not angelic, and able to summon nasties) and the Wizard of Yendor (unaligned) are able to summon barbed/horned devils, that then could summon an erinys.

However, in SLASH'EM, the card justice can summon an erinys, even if they are extinct.
