Grimtooth is a chaotic orcish dagger that has +d2 to hit and adds +d6 damage against all monsters. It is one of several artifact weapons that get in your way of getting Stormbringer from sacrificing. Elven players will never receive Grimtooth as a gift.
Strategy
While damage bonuses versus all monsters are nice, this weapon is only about as effective than a normal long sword, and therefore is mostly useless. It might be useful to wizards who don't want to over-enchant Magicbane, as a +7 Grimtooth will do more damage than a +2 Magicbane, but they would probably be better off using a gifted and unrestricted artifact weapon.
SLASH'EM
This weapon is marginally more effective in SLASH'EM, as it gives a flat +6 damage bonus as opposed to 1d6. Still, there are many better artifacts out there, particularly for the chaotic player. It might be a decent choice for twoweaponing, which is allowed for artifacts in SLASH'EM.
