The oilskin cloak is, in effect, a permanently greased cloak; it is therefore prized for granting immunity to the drowning attack of eels, as long as it is not cursed. A non-cursed oilskin cloak will also protect metal body armor in case you decide to go moat-diving, however all other inventory not in an oilskin sack can still get wet.[1] It can readily be identified by its unique appearance (slippery cloak), or the message "The slippery cloak fits very tightly." when you wear it. It provides MC2.
The spoilers incorrectly list the relative probability as 10/1000: it is 8/1000.
