Oviparous monsters are creatures in NetHack that can lay eggs.
Description
Some randomly-generated eggs are the eggs of oviparous monsters, and will hatch into that monster's "youngest" available form unless they are left in a container.
If the player is polymorphed into a female oviparous monster, the #sit command can be used to lay an egg, which will hatch into a tame monster.
