A spitting beetle is an insect in SLASH'EM. It is most often seen when summoned by priests via summon insects.

Spitting beetles are slow compared to most insects. They do a fair amount of damage, but not enough to make them that serious of a threat, especially when compared to assassin bugs or migo queens. Still, they should not be ignored if they are summoned right next to you.
