Dragonbane is an artifact that appears in SporkHack and UnNetHack, and has been significantly altered from the artifact in NetHack. It is unaligned, and its base item type is a dwarvish spear.
Generation
A randomly generated dwarvish spear on the ground has a base 1⁄20 chance of being made into an artifact, which will always be Dragonbane if it has not yet been generated. Dragonlance can be given to any hero as a sacrifice gift, though it will never be the first gift given.
Description
While wielded, Dragonbane grants warning of dragons along with all elemental resistances: fire resistance, cold resistance, shock resistance, poison resistance, disintegration resistance, sleep resistance, and acid resistance. Dragonbane has +d5 to hit and +d4 damage versus all monsters, and has a 1⁄2 chance of instantly killing any dragon it hits—in UnNetHack, this chance is reduced to 1⁄5.
