A moon axe is a type of axe that appears in dNetHack, notnotdNetHack, and notnotdNetHack. It is a huge slashing weapon that has a base-material of silver. It appears as a two-handed axe when unidentified.

Moon axes are the base item for the artifact Limited Moon. The Scepter of Lolth is an artifact droven greatsword that can be invoked to become an eclipse moon axe.

Moon axes make up 3250 (1.2%) of all randomly generated weapons.
