Twoflower, @, is the Tourist quest leader. He is a strong, omnivorous human that can be seen via infravision.

Generation
Twoflower resides within the walls of Ankh-Morpork, the Tourist quest home level, and occupies the throne in the northeastern-most room (which is the only one lacking a secret door).

Twoflower is introduced with most other quest leaders in NetHack 3.1.0.
Origin
Twoflower is a recurring major character in the Discworld series of books by Sir Terry Pratchett. He is a native of the Agatean Empire on the Counterweight Continent. Twoflower's name is most likely the result of a mistranslation by Rincewind: his real name is Billy, which was possibly rendered as Bi-Lily ("two flower"). Twoflower becomes the first tourist ever on the Discworld when he visits the city of Ankh-Morpork in The Colour of Magic, where he meets the inept wizard Rincewind and hires him as a guide.
Optimistic but naive, Twoflower often runs into danger, certain that nothing bad will happen to him since he is not directly involved. He also believes in the fundamental goodness of human nature and their ability to resolve all problems with good will and cooperation (which Rincewind believes to be a sign of idiocy). Due to not understanding the Agatean/Ankh-Morpork exchange rate, Twoflower often overpays for small items and minor services with enough wealth to buy a sizable fraction of the city: in one instance, he introduces the concept of insurance to Ankh-Morpork, which the landlord of the Broken Drum tavern uses to his advantage when both the tavern and city are both consumed by flame - the insurance policy allows the tavern to be rebuilt as the Mended Drum.
In the first two Discworld novels, Twoflower is followed around by the Luggage, a homicidally vicious travel chest which moves on hundreds of little legs and carries his belongings. Twoflower also has a rich imagination and is able to summon an obedient dragon named "Ninereeds" through his mind, which has saved his and Rincewind's life at least once during the series. The Empire Twoflower comes from traditionally believes (to the point of official decree) that the world outside of the Empire is a hellish wasteland populated by "bloodsucking vampire ghosts": a book relating his journey across the Discworld is considered a revolutionary pamphlet in the Empire, and in Interesting Times he is eventually promoted to the rank of Grand Vizier of the Empire, under Emperor Cohen.
Variants
Some variants make Twoflower and other quest leaders stronger to accommodate changes to the Quest and its entry mechanics, and these changes may be incorporated into upcoming versions of NetHack or else borrowed from them.
SporkHack
In SporkHack, Twoflower's speed becomes 15, his MR score becomes 90, and he has a single 4d10 weapon attack. He also gains flight, sleep resistance, poison resistance, and stoning resistance.
dNetHack
In dNetHack, Twoflower always generates with a blessed pair of lenses, a blessed +0 Hawaiian shirt, blessed +0 Hawaiian shorts, and a blessed +0 pair of low boots. He has automatic searching and poison resistance similar to player Tourists.
xNetHack
In xNetHack, Twoflower's stats are improved as in SporkHack, minus the flight and resistances.
SpliceHack
In SpliceHack, Twoflower's stats are improved as in xNetHack.
EvilHack
In EvilHack, Twoflower's stats and resistances are improved as in SporkHack, minus the flight.
Twoflower always generates with a Hawaiian shirt and an expensive camera. If The Platinum Yendorian Express Card is successfully wished for by a non-Tourist, there is a x⁄x+1 chance (where x is the amount of previous artifact wishes) of a hostile Twoflower generating adjacent to the character with the artifact in his possession.

Twoflower sprang off the bed. The wizard jumped back, wrenching his features into a smile.
"My dear chap, right on time! We'll just have lunch, and then I'm sure you've got a wonderful programme lined up for this afternoon!"
"Er --"
"That's great!"
Rincewind took a deep breath. "Look," he said desperately, "let's eat somewhere else. There's been a bit of a fight down below."
"A tavern brawl? Why didn't you wake me up?"
"Well, you see, I - _what_?"
"I thought I made myself clear this morning, Rincewind. I want to see genuine Morporkian life - the slave market, the Whore Pits, the Temple of Small Gods, the Beggar's Guild... and a genuine tavern brawl." A faint note of suspicion entered Twoflower's voice. "You _do_ have them, don't you? You know, people swinging on chandeliers, swordfights over the table, the sort of thing Hrun the Barbarian and the Weasel are always getting involved in. You know -- _excitement_."
