Amoeboid
An amoeboid is a monster classification type that appears in NetHack.
Description
Amoeboid monsters are mindless and unbreathing, and have no eyes, heads or limbs. The amoeboids consist of all monsters currently from the b blob and P pudding or ooze monster classes:
- b acid blob
- b quivering blob
- b gelatinous cube
- P gray ooze
- P brown pudding
- P black pudding
- P green slime
With the exception of the quivering blob, amoeboids have acidic bodies that give them acid resistance and stoning resistance - their corpses and tins are also acidic, and can cure stoning when eaten.

"Amoeboid" does not have an encyclopedia entry of its own, but all the monsters share the same entry:
These giant amoeboid creatures look like nothing more than puddles of slime, but they both live and move, feeding on metal or wood as well as the occasional dungeon explorer to supplement their diet.
