The Necromancer is a role specific to SLASH'EM.
Necromancer are quite similar to the Wizard role. Like Wizards they are also
relatively poor fighters with low HP and strength, but good spellcasters.
Their Pet is a tame Ghoul which is very slow.
Skills
Necromancer can get Expert in the weapon skills of dagger, pick-axe, quarterstaff, and dart, as well as the attack and matter spells.
The intrinsics Level-drain resistance and Immune to sickness are starting skills. The intrinsic Aware of the presence of undead will be given at Experience level 3. They can naturally recognize blessing and cursed status.

Strategy
- Necromancer should dump their Quarterstaff as soon as they find any kind of Dagger or a Dwarvish mattock.
- Keep your Ghoul only for the first levels if you find no magic whistle it is usless because of its slowness.
- Increase your Skill in Dagger and Pick-axe first then increase your Spellcasting. The skill dart should not be increased in order to save skill slots.

- Blessed +1 quarterstaff
- 2 random rings
- 3 random potions
- 3 random scrolls
- Spellbook of summon undead
- Spellbook of command undead
- Spellbook of drain life
- Spellbook of force bolt, Spellbook of knock, Spellbook of magic missile, Spellboook of create monster or Spellbook of wizard lock
- Wand of draining
- +0 pick-axe
- 20% chance of magic marker
- 20% chance of blindfold
