This is a list of notable NetHack websites. If adding a website, be sure to include a short description and place it in the proper section below.
All sites listed here are archived via the Wayback Machine at the Internet Archive unless otherwise stated.
Official resources
- The official site of the NetHack DevTeam where the game can be downloaded. There are also lists of known bugs for each version - below are the buglists for the latest stable releases:
- A list of known bugs in NetHack 3.6.7
- A list of known bugs in NetHack 3.6.6
- The official Guidebook can be read here. NetHackWiki's article on the Guidebook goes further in-depth.
Playing NetHack
- The public server article lists where you can play NetHack without installing it locally.
- The graphical user interface article has a list of GUI ports if you want to play using one instead of a terminal.
- NetHack is also available in the Windows Store for download.
Introductions to NetHack
Utilities
- NetHack Scoreboard, a multi-variant public server statistics aggregator, can be visited here.
- NAOdash @ a.ieval.ro - A service for analyzing alt.org player data and outputting statistics (example output here), including JSON capability.
- A set of NetHack helper tools at gridbug.de, including price identification, Mastermind, and more. Javascript required.
- Nethackathon Annotator for intrinsic abilities, personal notes, price identification and Sokoban practice solvers.
- HiSPeed's Nethack Helper, an interactive spoiler for NetHack 3.4.3. Javascript required.
- Hearse, a service allows you to share bones files with others for local play, though it is limited to certain versions (thankfully including NetHack 3.6.6).
Patches
- NetHack Patch Database, maintained by paxed
- NetHack patches by L
