An elven long sword is a type of weapon that appears in EvilHack and Hack'EM. Its base object material is wood, and it uses the long sword skill. It appears as a runed long sword when unidentified.
An elven long sword deals 1d10 damage versus small monsters and 1d12 versus large monsters. The elven long sword is the base item for the artifact weapon Glamdring, and can be wielded while performing same-race sacrifice to create Dirge if it is not yet generated.
Generation
Elven Knights start each game with an elven long sword instead of a standard long sword.
Elven monsters that are not undead or elven wizards may be generated with an elven long sword. Elven lieutenants have a 1⁄4 chance of being generated with an elven long sword; elven captains, watch captains, and prison guards will always generate with an elven long sword.
An elven long sword can be created at a forge by combining two elven short swords with appropriate materials.
