A dark elven bow is a type of weapon that appears in EvilHack. The dark elven bow is a two-handed launcher that is designed for use with dark elven arrows, and uses the bow skill. It is made of adamantine, and appears as an etched bow when unidentified.
Generation
Drow and centaur characters start the game with knowledge of the dark elven bow. Drow Rangers start the game with a +1 dark elven bow and two stacks of dark elven arrows.
Drow lieutenants generated at the Castle on level creation will always have a dark elven bow and dark elven arrows. Driders have a 2⁄3 chance of generating with a dark elven bow and dark elven arrows, and other non-undead drow have a 1⁄4 chance of generating with a dark elven bow and dark elven arrows, with the exception of drow mages and drow clerics.
Description
Drow firing any type of arrows from a dark elven bow gain a +1 to-hit bonus, and dark elven arrows that they fire from the bow gain +1 bonuses to multishot and damage.
