A dark elven dagger is a type of weapon that appears in SLASH'EM, SpliceHack and SlashTHEM. It is a stackable one-handed weapon that can be used in melee and thrown, and uses the dagger skill. It is made of wood, and appears as a black runed dagger when unidentified.
Generation
Drow characters start the game with knowledge of the dark elven dagger. Drow Rangers and Rogues start with dark elven daggers in place of their role's standard daggers.[1]
SLASH'EM
In SLASH'EM, dark elven daggers are not randomly generated. Upgrading a great dagger has a 1⁄2 chance of producing a dark elven dagger.[2]
SpliceHack
In SpliceHack, dark elven daggers are not randomly generated.
SlashTHEM
In SlashTHEM, dark elven daggers can be randomly generated like other weapons, and general stores, used armor dealerships and antique weapon outlets can sell dark elven daggers. Upgrading works the same as in SLASH'EM.
Description
The dark elven dagger is nearly identical to the elven dagger minus its appearance, with the same damage and to-hit bonus.
Upgrading a dark elven dagger will produce a great dagger.[3]
