Stone dragon scales are a type of body armor that appear in UnNetHack, DynaHack and SlashTHEM. They are made of dragon hide like all dragon scales.
Generation
Stone dragon scales are not randomly generated, though they can be wished for or found in bones.
A stone dragon that is not killed by disintegration has a 1⁄3 chance of leaving behind dragon scales, while a dragon revived by the wand of undead turning or spell of turn undead only has a 1⁄20 chance to leave behind scales. Stone dragon scales dropped this way are always generated +0 and uncursed.
Description
While worn, stone dragon scales confer 3 base AC and stoning resistance. Uncontrolled polymorph while wearing stone dragon scales will turn the wearer into a dragon:
- In UnNetHack and DynaHack, the wearer will turn into the corresponding dragon that has been randomized to appear as a stone dragon.
- In SlashTHEM, the wearer will turn into a stone dragon.
Doing so while wearing stone dragon scale mail will additionally revert the armor to scales.
