A treasury golem, ', is a type of monster that appears in dNetHack, notdNetHack and notnotdNetHack. The treasury golem is a lawful type of golem that is a stronger variation of the gold golem. In addition to the standard golem traits, it is thick-skinned, amphibious and incapable of regenerating HP, and will seek out gold, gems and magical items to pick up.

A treasury golem has a weapon attack, a claw attack and a poisonous breath weapon, and possesses sleep resistance, poison resistance and death resistance like all golems, along with acid resistance.

Generation

Treasury golems are not randomly generated, and normally-created treasury golems are always hostile. Treasury golems always generate with 60 HP.

The treasure rooms of Nessus in Gehennom contain several treasury golems.

Treasury golems drop 2-8 random valuable gems and 299-400 gold pieces (dependent on the hero's luck) upon death in place of a corpse.

Encyclopedia entry

The treasury golem shares its entry with the gold golem:

The bellows he set away from the fire, and gathered all the tools
wherewith he wrought into a silver chest; and with a sponge wiped
he his face and his two hands withal, and his mighty neck and
shaggy breast, and put upon him a tunic, and grasped a stout staff,
and went forth halting; but there moved swiftly to support their
lord handmaidens wrought of gold in the semblance of living maids.
In them is understanding in their hearts, and in them speech and
strength, and they know cunning handiwork by gift of the immortal
gods.
