A dark elven long sword is a type of weapon that appears in EvilHack. It is a one-handed weapon that uses the long sword skill. It is made of adamantine, and appears as an etched long sword when unidentified.
Generation
Drow characters start the game with knowledge of the dark elven long sword. Drow Knights begin the game with a +1 dark elven long sword.
Drow lieutenants have a 1⁄4 chance of generating with a dark elven long sword, and drow captains, watch captains and prison guards are always generated with a dark elven long sword. Driders have an effective 1⁄18 chance of generating with a dark elven long sword, and other non-undead drow have an effective 1⁄16 chance of generating with a dark elven long sword, with the exception of drow mages and drow clerics.
A dark elven long sword can be created at a forge by combining 2 dark elven short swords while the forge is darkened.
