Forge (dNetHack)
In dNethack, notdNetHack, and notnotdNetHack, a forge is a type of furniture and is represented primarily by a {. They are found randomly scattered throughout the dungeon, usually in rooms that do not have any other dungeon feature such as chests or sinks in them. You can use a forge by dipping items into it, quaffing its lava, and by digging down on it.
Generation
Several forges can be found in many special levels:
- Big Room variation #6.
- All variations of the castle.
- In the topmost and center room in the Mordor Fortress level in the Mordor Ruins Quest.
- All mine town variations.
Several forges can also be found on quest levels:
- The Binder quest locate level.
- The Dwarf Knight quest locate level.
- The Knight quest home level.
- The Dwarf Noble quest home level.
- The Noble quest goal level.
- The storage room.
- The Undead Hunter quest home level.
