You start in the Jedi Temple, a tall building high up in the sky. The black spaces indicate air surrounding the temple rather than rock. The Jedi Master is at the point indicated by @ guarding a treasure chest containing a scroll of charging, another random scroll, and two additional random objects. There are four peaceful padawan and nine peaceful jedi, as well as eight stormtroopers patrolling the level. The stairs are randomly placed at one of the three marked positions.

Upper filler levels

The upper filler levels are standard room and corridor levels with jedi and stormtroopers.

Messages

Entry

First time:

You are back at the Jedi Temple where you were raised and trained during your youth.
You fondly remember your mentor, the Jedi Master, and your fellow Jedi.
Looking around, to the eye everything looks normal. You wonder why
the Jedi Master would call you here without necessity.

Then some stormtroopers jump from the shadows...

Next time:

Once again you are back at the Jedi Temple.

If already rejected twice due to bad alignment:

Again, you stand before the Jedi Temple. You vaguely sense that this
may be the last time you stand before the Jedi Master.

Quest guardians

If #chatting before the quest is complete:

"Hello, <playername>. May the force be with you!"
"<playername>, it seems the force has left us..."
"The dark side is strong, or so they tell us."
"If the dark side is so powerful, why not use its power for us?"
"What shall we do, <playername>?"

If #chatting after the quest is complete:

"Hello, <playername>. May the force be with you!"
"The force has led us to victory!"
"Will the Sith ever be defeated?"
"So you defeated Lord Sidious?"
"Is this the fabled Lightsaber Prototype?"

Quest leader

When you first meet your quest leader:

"It's good to see you again, <playername>. I'm glad you got our transmission.
Let me check if you are capable of helping us in this dark hour."

When you return, having been rejected due to lack of experience:

"The force is strong in you, <playername>. But is it strong enough now?"

When you return, having been rejected due to lack of experience:

"Again, you are back, <playername>. Have you enhanced your knowledge of the force
far enough now?"

When you are expelled from the quest for having failed the alignment test seven times:

"You are arrogant, <playername>. This is the way to the Dark Side. Unfortunately,
we cannot allow you to walk the halls of the Jedi Temple anymore to protect our padawans.
Leave, now, and never return here, or we will have to deal with you
in ways other than words."

When being rejected due to lack of experience:

"The force is strong within you, <playername>. But sadly, a mere <currentrank> could never
hope to be a help in this dark hour.
Go and learn more of the way of the force. When you reached the skills
of a Jedi Hero, return here.

May the force be with you!"

When being rejected due to having worse than pious alignment:

"You have strayed from the light side of the force! Leave, now!
And return only when you made up your mind about which way to
follow."

When finally assigned the quest:

"Ah, <playername>. You have become a fine <currentrank>, you have become skilled in using
the force and the ways of the Jedi. As such, you must help us:"

"As you surely noticed, war has broken out between the Sith and the
Jedi. Stormtroopers, Sith and Jedi are desperately fighting and
dying for what they believe in."

"What they are fighting over? A mighty artifact, the Lightsaber Prototype.
It is the first lightsaber ever made and has powers greater than any
lightsaber in use today. It never runs out of power and has a built-in
targeting device."

"It was also thought to be lost forever, but eventually a merchant
discovered it in the outer rim and announced it for sale. Needless to
say, that merchant was no longer alive when we got there, slaughtered
by the Sith, who - despite all their efforts - couldn't get their hands
on it yet."

"We need your help in this matter. Every man on the front in the outer
rim counts."

"Oh, and we got word that Lord Sidious himself has gone to the outer rim to claim
the Lightsaber Prototype. You better hurry."

Encouragement

If you subsequently chat to your quest leader, you are encouraged:

"May the force be with you!"
"Remember, <playername>, follow always the path of the Light Side."

Locate and goal levels

When first entering the locate level:

You arrive at the Outer Rim.
Following the emanations of the force, you work your way through the
different planets trying to locate %o.

When returning:

Again, you arrive at the the Outer Rim.

When first entering the goal level:

You arrive at an unnamed planet.
You can feel large disturbances in the force before you, like huge
armies crossing weapons.
You know that you must hurry in order to not disappoint the Jedi Master.

When returning:

Again, you arrive at the unnamed planet.

Quest nemesis

When first encountering the quest nemesis:

"Again, the Jedi Master sends a worthless <currentrank> to get the Lightsaber Prototype from me?
Well, I can give you a choice: Join me!"

Upon further meetings:

"Again, you challenge me, <currentrank>? You can't beat the dark side of the force!"

And on the 4th and subsequent meetings:

"Haven't you learned your lesson yet? I shall teach it to you now!"

When you have the Lightsaber Prototype, but Lord Sidious is still alive:

"Got your hands on the Lightsaber Prototype, little <currentrank>? You will not be able to draw all its
powers anyway. Now, you wouldn't kill an unarmed, would you?"

Discouragement

Lord Sidious will occasionally taunt:

"Join the dark side and you'll be granted powers beyond your wildest dreams!"
"The Jedi Master's faith in you is his weak point!"
"A Jedi you want to be? I call you a padawan!"

Victory

When picking up your quest artifact:

You have the Lightsaber Prototype in your hands.
Force surrounds it like air surrounds a planet. You can see why no
other lightsaber was made like this one.

When killing the nemesis:

You finally manage to land the final blow against Lord Sidious.
But as you just want to claim your victory, his body dissolves into
nothingness.
"You can't win against Lord Sidious! I will be back!"

You feel a shiver run up and down your spine as you head back
to the Jedi Master.

When returning to your quest leader:

As you approach the Jedi Master, he beams at you and says:
You have not disappointed the halls of %H.
The war is over, the Lightsaber Prototype is secured and peace
	can be restored.

Though Lord Sidious escaped us again, we will not rest until he is
destroyed. The Sith must never return to power.

When subsequently throwing the Lightsaber Prototype to the Jedi Master:

"Be careful with the Lightsaber Prototype. Though it gives great power, it also requires
great responsibility from its owner. Use the portal to return to
the Dungeons of Doom and find the Amulet of Yendor.

Post-quest

When talking to the Jedi Master after the quest:

"Welcome back, %p. How is the search for the Amulet of Yendor?"

When talking to the Jedi Master after getting the Amulet:

"You really are a <currentrank> of the Light Side."
"Ancient Jedi Legends tell us that the amulet must be brought to
a place called 'The Astral Plane' and offered to the Light Side there."
"May the force be with you, <playername>."
