The Iron Spoon of Liberation is an artifact weapon-tool in dNetHack. It is the new quest artifact for Convicts, and acts as the prize for completing the Convict quest; it replaces The Iron Ball of Liberation, which is now called The Iron Ball of Levitation and given to you by your quest leader, Robert the Lifer, upon accepting the quest. It is chaotic-aligned, and its base item is a spoon.
Effects
When carried, The Iron Spoon of Liberation confers automatic searching, free action, and acts as a luckstone, in addition to providing a bonus to manual searching; when wielded, it confers stealth. As a spoon, Convicts wielding it can make sneak attacks similar to a Rogue. Invoking the Iron Spoon allows you to phase through walls for a limited time, much like The Iron Ball of Liberation.
Applying The Iron Spoon of Liberation allows you to dig, and it can also be used to engrave with the same quality and speed as an athame.
