Plastic is a material for objects that occurs in NetHack.

Plastic is a non-organic flimsy material that is flammable and vulnerable to being burnt.

Polypiling enough plastic objects may result in the creation of a straw golem.[1]

Variants

NetHack: The Next Generation

In NetHack: The Next Generation, the pack of floppies is made of plastic.

SLASH'EM

SLASH'EM adds the fly swatter, stick of dynamite and green lightsaber as items that are made of plastic. Wands that have the randomized appearance of a "black wand" are made of plastic.

Polypiling enough plastic objects may create a plastic golem.

EvilHack

EvilHack adds the eight ball and goggles as objects that have a base material of plastic. Its object materials system allows several other objects to be made of plastic, though none of those objects will normally generate with this material.

SlashTHEM

In addition to SLASH'EM details, SlashTHEM also incorporates plasteel armor from the Jedi patch into the base game, which is all made of plastic.

SlashTHEM also adds the pair of rubber gloves, pack of floppies and photograph as items that are made of plastic, and adds the following randomized appearances that are made of plastic:

  • Rings
    • plastic ring
    • cameo ring
    • intaglio ring
    • dazzling ring
    • deep ring
    • lighting ring
    • bright ring
    • pretty ring
  • Wands
    • plastic wand

Hack'EM

In addition to SLASH'EM details, Hack'EM also incorporates plasteel armor from the Jedi patch into the base game, and adds the eight ball and goggles from EvilHack. Its object materials system allows several other objects to be made of plastic.

Hack'EM also adds the following randomized appearances that are made of plastic:

  • Rings
    • neon ring
    • tapered ring
  • Wands
    • plastic wand
    • green wand
    • pliable wand
