A dwarf warrior, h, is a type of monster that appears in dNetHack, notdNetHack and notnotdNetHack. The dwarf warrior is a male dwarven humanoid that has many of the same attributes as the standard dwarf does, though they lack infravision. Dwarf warriors can reach level 30.
Dwarf warriors have a weapon attack and an offhand weapon attack. They possess skilled prowess in martial combat, and have a full base attack bonus of +1 to-hit per level.
Generation
Dwarf warriors are not randomly generated, and normally-created dwarf warriors are always peaceful. They are not a valid polymorph form or genocide target.
Dwarf warriors serve as quest guardians for the Dwarf Knight quest and Dwarf Noble quest, and appear on the home level for both branches as well as some other Quest locations:
- 11 dwarf warriors are generated on specific squares within the Dwarf Knight quest home level during level creation, which are all located in the dwelling of Thorin II Oakenshield.
- 11 dwarf warriors are generated randomly across the Dwarf Noble quest home level during level creation.
- Three dwarf warriors are also generated on specific squares within the Last Bastion base of the Anachrononaut quest home level during level creation.
- A dwarf warrior is generated alongside the many guardians stationed near the quest leaders on the Drow Healer quest home level during level creation. Dwarf warrios can also appear among the plague victims that are carried within sacks by hill giants on the Drow Healer quest.
Crystal skulls containing dwarf warriors can be found on the Anachrononaut quest and Android quest.
