The fighter is a role exclusive to JNetHack. They are based on the Sailor Senshi from the anime Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon.

Fighters are required to be female humans. Unlike other classes, they may be lawful or chaotic, but not neutral.

Starting inventory

Fighters start with the following:

• a +2 short sword
• a sailor blouse
• a wand of polymorph
• 3 random scrolls

Intrinsics

Fighters gain intrinsics at these experience levels:

• Level 7: speed

Skills

Fighter skills
Max	Skills
Basic	Weapons: two-handed sword, javelin, sling, crossbow, shuriken
Skilled	Weapons: knife, long sword, scimitar, saber Spells: enchantment
Expert	Weapons: short sword, broad sword, spear, bow Combat: two weapon combat
Master	Combat: martial arts

Fighters start with basic skill in enchantment spells.

Quest

The Fighter quest sees you fighting Jedeite for The Silver Crystal.

• Lawful: Selene
• Neutral: Helios
• Chaotic: Eos

Rank titles

The status line shows you to be one of the following ranks when you reach the specified experience level:

• XL 1-2: Mercury
• XL 3-5: Venus
• XL 6-9: Mars
• XL 10-13: Jupiter
• XL 14-17: Saturn
• XL 18-21: Uranus
• XL 22-25: Neptune
• XL 26-29: Pluto
• XL 30: Moon

If I were to implement this class, I would de-randomize the planetary fighters on the Quest home level and give them equipment caches as follows:

• Mercury - 75% wooden harp, 25% magic harp
• Venus - bullwhip
• Mars - bow, arrows
• Saturn - glaive
• Uranus - 75% scimitar, 25% silver saber
• Neptune - mirror
• Pluto - skeleton key, garnet stone

Jupiter doesn't get anything because I couldn't think of any NetHack equipment that I could associate with her attacks or magical items.
