A xorn monk:

A xorn monk, X, is a type of monster that appears in dNetHack and notdNetHack. They are a type of xorn that act as a servant of Master Kaen.
Xorn monks have the same claw and bite attacks as a regular xorn, but their claw attacks are stronger and they also possess a pair of kick attacks. They are also breathless and amphibious, and have the same ability to phase through walls.
Generation
Xorn monks are always generated hostile and meditating. They are not a valid monster form for polymorph.
Xorn monks are primarily generated on the Monk quest, where they make up ^{1}⁄_{6} of the randomly generated monsters in the branch. Several floors of the Monk quest also generate xorn monks at level creation: three are generated on the locate level, one is generated in each of the lower filler levels, and four are generated on the goal level.
Xorn monks generate with a pair of boots, a pair of gloves, a sedge hat, and a cloak, all sized to fit the monster and subject to the following generation rules:
The cloak has a ^{1}⁄_{50} chance of being a cloak of magic resistance, and will otherwise be a robe; the cloak will have its enchantment increased by 14 points after creation.
The cloak glyph will be colored orange, as well as the boots and gloves if they are nonmetallic.
Both gloves and boots will have their enchantment increased by 14 points after creation, and may be given the following properties:
Each set of gloves and boots has a separate ^{1}⁄_{10} chance of being either bladed or spiked, with an equal probability of each.
They each have a ^{1}⁄_{50} chance of being freezing, shocking or flaming, with an equal probability of each. Otherwise, they each have a ^{1}⁄_{20} chance of being frosted, sparking or redhot, with an equal probability of each.
They each have a ^{1}⁄_{50} chance of being anarchic, holy or unholy, with an equal probability of each. Otherwise, they each have a ^{1}⁄_{20} chance of being unruly, consecrated or desecrated, with an equal probability of each.
The boots will be one of the following:
 Low boots (^{3}⁄_{4} chance)
 High boots (^{3}⁄_{16} chance)
 Kicking boots (^{1}⁄_{24} chance)
 Water walking boots (^{1}⁄_{144} chance)
 Flying boots (^{1}⁄_{144} chance)
 Speed boots (^{1}⁄_{144} chance)
