A dark elven arrow is a type of weapon that appears in EvilHack. It is a stackable projectile that is designed for use with a dark elven bow, and uses the bow skill. It is made of adamantine, and appears as an etched arrow when unidentified.
Generation
Drow and centaur heroes start the game with knowledge of the dark elven arrow, and drow Rangers start the game with two stacks of +0 and +2 dark elven arrows for their dark elven bow in place of the role's normal bow and arrows.
Drow lieutenants generated at the Castle on level creation will always have a dark elven bow and a stack of 3-33 dark elven arrows. Driders have a 2⁄3 chance of generating with a dark elven bow and a stack of 3-15 dark elven arrows, and other non-undead drow have a 1⁄4 chance of generating with a dark elven bow and stack of 3-15 dark elven arrows, with the exception of drow mages and drow clerics.
Description
Dark elven arrows can be used at a forge to create a couple of items:
- 2 dark elven arrows can be combined with 2 dark elven crossbow bolts while the forge is darkened to create a dark elven dagger.
- 2 dark elven arrows can be combined with a dark elven dagger while the forge is darkened to create a dark elven spear.
