A bullet fabber is a type of magic tool that appears in dNetHack, notdNetHack and notnotdNetHack. It is a medium-sized tool that has a base material of plastic and is considered a futuristic item. It appears as a "white box with a yellow fiddly bit" when unidentified.
Generation
Anachrononauts start the game with knowledge of the bullet fabber's identified appearance.
Half-dragon, Dwarf, Vampire, Drow, and Hedrow Anachrononauts start each game with an uncursed bullet fabber.
Several quest levels can generate bullet fabbers:
- 3 uncursed bullet fabbers are generated in the bottom right storage room inside the bastion on the Anachrononaut quest home level.
- 2 bullet fabbers are generated in the Anachrononaut quest and Android quest locate levels.
Bullet fabbers are not randomly generated and cannot be wished for by a hero that isn't a Tourist, though they may still be found in bones.
Description
A Tourist or Anachrononaut hero can apply a bullet fabber to make ammunition with various types of rocks and gray stones, or to make rockets out of bullets.
- Rocks are turned into bullets.
- Bullets are turned into shotgun shells and can be fed back through the bullet fabber, turning back into bullets.
- Flint stones are turned into shotgun shells.
- Silver slingstones are turned into silver bullets.
- 10 silver bullets are turned into rockets and can be fed back through the bullet fabber, turning back into 10 silver bullets.
- Loadstones are turned into rockets.
Heros of other roles cannot make use of bullet fabbers.
