A drow zombie, Z, is a type of monster that appears in EvilHack. It is a zombified form of drow that behaves the same as zombies of other species, with a mutual grudge against living monsters.
A drow zombie has a poisonous claw attack that drains constitution and a bite attack that can cause a zombifying illness or intelligence drain. Drow zombies are healed by death magic and possess cold resistance, sleep resistance, poison resistance, immunity to sickness, drain resistance, and a vulnerability to fire.
Eating corpses left by drow zombies will cause a zombifying illness unless the eater has immunity to sickness—engulfing by a gelatinous cube does not count for this purpose.
Generation
Randomly generated drow zombies are always created hostile unless the hero is a draugr or vampire, in which case they may be generated as peaceful. They may appear in small groups.
Drow heroes and monsters that are killed by zombies or the illness they spread will arise as drow zombies.
A drow zombie can leave a zombie-tainted drow corpse upon death, and can revive from this corpse unless they are killed with Sunsword or the Hammer of the Gods: both artifacts have a chance of instantly vaporizing the drow zombie, and one that dies while either artifact is wielded will dissolve into nothing.
