This template links to a monster class page while displaying only that class's glyph. For example:

The level contains nine random B, five random Z, a random W, a random V, and two random P.

Unlike {{monclasssym}}, this will always display the glyph in white, even for classes which only contain one monster (such as J). This is done so that multiple uses of this template won't contain an out-of-place colored glyph. If you want to link to the monster using its colored glyph, use {{msl}} instead: {{msl|jabberwock}} produces J.
