Dual Wielding

  • Unintelligent, non-cross-aligned artifacts do not resist being held second to another weapon.
  • Fire and frost brand can always be wielded together.

Base Object Fuzzing

Some artifacts have a chance to appear with different base objects from game to game. If an artifact has a fuzzed type, the base object will be chosen from one of the categories listed below. If an artifact should fuzz but does not fall into one of the listed categories, it will be randomized to an object with a similar damage type.

Categories

  • Axes: axe, battle axe, dual axe, two-handed sword
  • One-handed Swords: short sword, elven short sword, orcish short sword, dwarvish short sword, scimitar, saber, broadsword, elven broadsword, long sword, runesword
  • Two-handed Swords: two-bladed sword, katana, tsurugi, two-handed sword, falchion

Special Exceptions

  • Fire and frost brand will always fuzz to the same item type.
  • Magicbane will randomize to a completely random weapon.
