SpliceHack contains many new items in comparison to vanilla NetHack; the probabilities of vanilla items have been adjusted to make room for them, but efforts have been made to maintain proper balance, particularly in regards to item identification.

SpliceHack contains many new items. The probabilities of vanilla items have been adjusted to make room for them, but efforts have been made to keep things balanced. For example, the probability of identify scrolls is unchanged. Note that the artifact wishing success chance in SpliceHack has been changed from the number of artifacts previously generated to the number of artifacts previously wished for.

Weapons
Artifacts
As in vanilla NetHack, artifacts in SpliceHack cannot be dual-wielded with another artifact. The only exception to this is wielding Gae Dearg and Gae Buidhe at the same time. In order to account for the large number of artifacts, artifact generation is based on the number of artifacts given to or wished for by the player, and does not include randomly generated artifacts.
